NARRATIVE SHORT FILM

LOGLINE:
While packing up their belongings before a flood happens, two sisters find a journal from their late mother that they can’t translate, confronting a generational loss of language.

FUMIKO:
Late 20’s. Japanese and/or Taiwanese American. Introspective. Frustrated/insecure for not being able to read Japanese. Weighted by grief. Older sister to Hana.

HANA:
Early 20’s. Japanese and/or Taiwanese American. Energetic, Unfiltered, Curious. At ease with self. Younger sister to Fumiko.

PROJECT LOCATION:
Chicagoland area

Requirements

No acting experience necessary.

Project is open to actors outside of Chicagoland, but talent must be willing to work as a Chicago local.
