Meter & Light: Night

This public program features a live musical performance by an ensemble reimagining the score for Zain Alam’s Meter & Light: Night, followed by an artist talk and Q&A.

The ensemble includes Darian Donovan Thomas (violin), Warren Hildebrand (guitar/electronics), Zeelie Brown (cello), Zain Alam (vocals) and Zeerak Ahmed (vocals).

Zain Alam’s installation “Meter & Light: Night” is currently being shown as part of the Open Call: Portals group exhibition at The Shed. It is a three-channel audiovisual installation enacting the interlocking rhythms of time in Muslim life after sunset.
