Listen to Your Mother - film and live performance

The unique dancer/performance artist Anabella Lenzu presents a live performance and the premiere of a film that advises you to “Listen to Your Mother.” The Argentinian native dedicates the work to women who are artists and immigrant mothers living in NYC. She is joined by her darling young daughter Fiamma. Choreography is by Anabella; text by Anabella and Jerzy Grotowski; video and music composition by Todd Carroll. Included in the program is Isadora Duncan’s “La Mere” (1921) coached by Duncan expert Catherine Gallant. Anabella is, as always, bold, wise, and unpredictable.
