January Town Hall: Photography
6:30 – 8:15PM
For our first Town Hall of the year, A4 is focused on photography. Folks in lens-based media are invited to share their projects, resources, and opportunities with the AAPI creative community, as well as make new connections.
Featured presenters include photographer Sunny Shokrae, who will discuss This Chapter series, a collaboration with artist musician Rahill Jamalifard, and an ongoing exploration of music, sound, and visuals that probes the weaving symmetries of our relationships with culture and identity. We’ll also hear from Joshua Chuang, the director of photography at Gagosian, on his experiences curating photography exhibitions for one of the most prestigious art galleries in the world. Additionally, the evening will feature a line-up of brief pitches from the community. After the presentations, we’ll host a potluck meal, so please bring something to share; homemade or store bought items are welcome. A4 will provide drinks.
This event is FREE and open to the public. RSVP is required to attend and/or pitch, but you do not have to pitch to attend.
