Radical Scenic and Media Design: A Workshop With Ping Chong

Pink Fang and Hunter College Department of Theatre invite designer directors to participate in a one-day workshop with Ping Chong. This workshop invites 15 designer-directors to explore approaches to conceiving radical scenic and media (projection) design for performance. Through the course of a day, designer-directors—defined as makers, devisers and directors of performance for whom design element is central to their approach—will be introduced to Ping’s methodologies, respond to a shared prompt, and discuss what makes a radical design.
