Becoming Human is a guided movement experience inviting participants to explore their relationship to body and place in simple, unfamiliar, and grounded ways. Through gentle movement, attention, and spatial awareness, we’ll explore how the places we’re in—and the bodies we inhabit—shape how we feel, relate, and choose.

This is not a workshop focused on learning techniques, and it’s not a discussion group. It’s an experiential exploration informed by Indonesian animism mixed with somatics and improvisation—designed to be felt more than explained. You’ll be guided through prompts that support curiosity, presence, and noticing, without pressure to perform or share.

No movement experience is required. Participation is always optional: you’re welcome to move, remain still, observe, or rest. You will not be asked to share personal stories or speak unless you choose to.

This experience is for anyone curious about slowing down, sensing more deeply, and encountering body and place in a way that may be new—but accessible.

This offering is part of Rasa Labs, a limited experiential series exploring how Rasa, or essence, emerges from Southeast Asian diaspora hybrid practice.
