New York’s only 4-Day Dance Marathon of Dance Innovation
that is FREE / Pay-What-You-Will to the PUBLIC
WHITE WAVE’s 15th Annual DUMBO Dance Festival will be held at the state of the art Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter (October 8-11, 2015). For four nights and three days experience a marathon of dance innovation from 75 contemporary dance troupes combining 325 performing artists presenting works from solo to full company. Dancers from across the United States, Canada, Hungary, Korea and Italy join the bold innovators of New York’s dance scene to offer an instagram of the current directions in dance.
Special highlights include a FREE Family Program on Sunday 11 October (12-3 pm) that offers a street dance class for the whole family and a family-friendly dance performance. Sunday’s Grand Finale at 8.00 pm features world premieres of works from WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company, JÁNOS FELEDI /FELEDI Project (Hungary), Oniin Dance (Italy), Joori Jung/ARTLAB J DANCE, Aaron Atkins/Ballet Inc., Keith Johnson/Dancers, XAOC Contemporary Ballet/Eryn Renee Young, Luda Lee/Black Toe Contemporary Ballet and Winnie Berger/Mook Dance Project.
