14th Annual Hindu Lamp Ceremony

Join Ajna Dance Company for a beautiful evening on the Brooklyn waterfront!

They are thrilled to be performing as part of this special annual celebration. Gather with the community to decorate your own floating lamp and experience the serenity of a traditional aarti ceremony as the sun sets over the East River.

The Aarti ceremony is traditionally performed each morning and evening along India’s rivers, in order to convey gratitude to mother river, reflect on community, and remember loved ones. Join to make a blessing and pay respects to loved ones. This event is a free walk-up event and open to all; no advance registration required.
