Independent Curator/Advisor Sought to Arrange U. S. Tour
Position Description: Interdisciplinary Artist Lisa Karrer is seeking an independent curator, art curator or advisor to assist in creating a multi-year U.S. tour for SHELTER, a large-scale installation focusing on global refugees and refugee resettlement in American cities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in representing and connecting the artist and the SHELTER project to suitable museums and cultural venues. The curator should be engaged, informed, and committed, capable of grasping and articulating the multi-layered nature of this work, and sparking the attention and active interest of potential venues. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required: Candidates must have a degree in museum studies, fine art, art history, museum education, or equivalent, and previous experience in the field. This position offers a retainer to start, followed by hourly salary, and a percentage fee for each confirmed venue.
