The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) is pleased to announce the Open Call for New York City artists for the Ground Floor Program, a subsidized studio-based residency. Year-long residencies will be awarded to five exceptional artists, with the option to renew for a second year.

This residency program offers a much-needed subsidized workspace to New York City-based artists, while expanding ISCP’s international community to include local artists.
Benefits include:

24-hour access to a private, furnished studio space
Full use of a shared kitchen and lounge, WiFi, and all utilities
Four to six studio visits from Visiting Critics each year
Field trips to museums, galleries and other cultural venues
Opportunity to propose artists’ talks
Access to ISCP’s dynamic, in-house community of artists and curators from all over the world
Participation in ISCP’s Open Studios twice a year
Studios:

Studio sizes range between 215-338 square feet
Cost per month for a private studio: $304.87–$548.11 (based on size)

Requirements

Eligibility: This program is specifically for artists living in New York City for at least the last two years. Proof of NYC residency is required in order to apply.

Selection: The selection committee of three jurors reviews applications based on quality, originality and artistic merit. Other consideration factors are: the potential impact of the residency on the applicant, the applicant’s past accomplishments, and preparedness to undertake the residency. Interviews with finalists will be held by the selection committee as needed.

Residency dates: June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025
Application deadline: March 18, 2024
Notification date: April 15, 2024
