ABOUT THE ROLE:
Position: Marketing Associate
Department: Marketing
Classification: Full-time; Annual
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Salary: $40,000

The Marketing Associate’s primary focus will be to provide administrative, creative, and strategic support for the Marketing department. This position will work closely with the rest of the team to assist in a wide range of projects as needed. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates interested in learning about the many functions of a marketing department and strengthening skills in areas they’re most enthusiastic about.

Requirements

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Update website content as needed
-Provide graphic design support for Visual Communications Manager
-Provide copyediting and occasional publishing support for Social Media Manager
-Research media and community engagement opportunities
-Serve as point-person for direct mail activities, which include managing relationships with the mail house and McCarter’s United States Postal Service account
-Assist with coordination and maintenance of marketing materials around the building
-Process departmental invoices and credit card reconciliations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Strong communications and writing skills
-Strong time and task management skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience working in an administrative setting
-A passion for supporting the arts through arts management
-Interest in learning more about the many functions of a Marketing department
-Knowledge of project management systems, CRMs (Tessitura), and social media management/analytics
-Creativity
