Studio Access program provides artists with time and space to rehearse and develop movement-based work in a professional studio environment.

The program is designed to support artists who are:
- Developing new performance work
- Exploring movement-based practices
- Rehearsing for upcoming productions
- Working collaboratively with small ensembles

Studio access is intended for rehearsal purposes only, not workshop showings or performances.

Requirements

REHEARSAL ACCESS

Artists may request different levels of rehearsal access depending on their needs. The rehearsal ranges are:

  • Research Access (8–12 hours). Short rehearsal sessions for exploratory work.
  • Development Access (24–30 hours). Ongoing rehearsal sessions over multiple weeks.
  • Intensive Access (60–100 hours). More intensive rehearsal periods for projects approaching production.
  • No artist may receive more than 100 rehearsal hours per year.

Application Instructions

HOW TO REQUEST STUDIO ACCESS?

Artists have to submit a Studio Access Request Form, that they can find in LEIMAY’s website.

Artists will be asked to provide:
- A brief description of their project
- Preferred rehearsal days and times
- Preferred rehearsal block length
- Approximate rehearsal needs

Requests are processed first-come, first-served based on availability.
