EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop is pleased to announce the first year of the Kahn | Mason SIP Fellowship. The Kahn | Mason SIP Fellowship is named in honor of avid printmakers and educators Emily Mason and Wolf Kahn, with partial funding provided by the Emily Mason | Alice Trumbull Mason Foundation and the Wolf Kahn Foundation.

This intensive fellowship is designed to introduce artists from multiple disciplines to printmaking. We invite artists seeking creative exploration through printmaking, regardless of expertise, to apply their creative knowledge and conceptual goals to the print medium.Selected artists are each provided access to a community and professional printmaking workspace, a $3,000 stipend, three printmaking workshops, and assistance from EFA RBPMW staff.

LOCATION
EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop is located in the EFA Center at 323 West 39th Street, 2nd Floor, between 8th and 9th Avenues in Midtown Manhattan.

6 session SIP Orientation Program
Includes: In depth studio orientation, basic intaglio, lithography, screenprinting, relief and monotype techniques.
3 EFA RBPMW classes
Group exhibition in 20|20 Gallery the summer after fellowship year
Scheduled project consultation with EFA RBPMW staff printers
Material & supply storage
Access to exhibition and portfolio exchange opportunities through EFA RBPMW membership

SELECTION PROCESS
Artists of any race, gender, ethnicity, creed, or socioeconomic background are encouraged to apply. Selection is based on artistic merit determined by an independent 5 person interdisciplinary panel of art professionals in a blind jury. All jurors names will be made public following the announcement of selected participants.

DEADLINES AND NOTIFICATION PROCESS
All applicants will receive an automatic email response after successfully completing their application. Finalists will be notified for an interviews. Please do not call the office for selection results.

Requirements

ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility is limited to artists living and working in New York State that have no affiliation with any institution as a full or part time student, nor have received any other fellowship from EFA RBPMW in the past 2 years. Prior printmaking experience is not required and artists working in other media are greatly encouraged to submit to this intense printmaking immersion.
