Logline: While battling blackouts and the mysterious appearance of Chinese shadow puppets, four friends discover the importance of hope and what it means to find happiness in a world not created for them.

Characters:

JORDAN

(they/them), 21, biracial, has a hidden physical disability, curious and inquisitive about the world they inhabit

ANGEL

(they/them), 21, biracial, doodles on their arm, weary and suspicious of almost everything, yearns to belong

LUCAS

(he/him), 21, trans man, biracial, Vinny’s younger brother, feels at a crossroads with what stability means in terms of home and his identity

VINNY

(he/him), 27, biracial, Lucas’ older brother, trying to make up for his past mistakes

Requirements

Preparation: Sides will be provided. Any actors who wish to review material ahead of time can reach out to the above email address to request a copy (or with any specific accessibility needs).

*Casting Note: Actively seeking non-binary/ trans, biracial, Asian, and disabled actors.

**Disability should not be a costume.
