Call for Artists: Message International Exhibition

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the international exhibition Message. The exhibition explores art that examines meaning, communication, language, perception, and contemporary social and cultural contexts. The exhibition welcomes works that question the role of language and symbols, examine personal and collective forms of communication, and explore the relationships among media, memory, technology, and social interaction. They welcome photography, 2D digital art, video art, performance art, web art, interactive art, sculpture, painting, and installation art.

Deadline: June 19, 2026

Requirements

Installation

Photography & 2D Digital Art:
Selected works will be printed in 10 by 15 or 10 by 10 inches, framed, and installed by CICA Museum’s team. If requested by the artist, works can be printed and framed in different sizes. Additional fees may apply.

Video & Interactive Art:
CICA Museum will provide projectors and media players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screened via a projector. If the work needs to be screened via a projector exclusively, or more than two projectors/monitors are needed, please indicate the special requirements in the submission email. Additional fees may apply.

Physical Works (Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, and Installation Art):
The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of their physical work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inches (1 meter) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39 by 39 by 79 inches (1 by 1 by 2 meters, width x length x height). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kilograms. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.
