Both positions will operate across two distinct departments: the Undergraduate Communications Design Department and the Graduate Communications Design Department. Both departments are recognized leaders in the field and currently offer BFA in Communications Design, MFA in Communications Design, and MS in Packaging Identities and Systems Design degrees.

Professional or scholarly focus may include a broad set of interests and applications outside traditional graphic design, illustration, packaging design, and related disciplinary practices, including but not limited to: design and accessibility; service design; community-based participatory research; design for social impact; policy and organizational change; bio design; interaction design; creative coding; and digital storytelling.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to curricular development and pedagogical innovation as well as a passion for fostering institutional change through service and interdisciplinary collaboration.
