Brooklyn Arts Council grants strive to support local artists and small arts organizations whose work enhances the cultural climate of our borough, city, state, and nation. These awards encourage professional development, community growth, and fellowship among artists.

Requirements

BROOKLYN ARTS FUND
Grant Range: $2,000 - $5,000
- Brooklyn-based artists, collectives, and 501©3 organizations are invited to apply to Brooklyn Arts Fund (BAF) for up to $5,000 to support high-quality arts projects in all disciplines, genres and styles. This program aims to cultivate Brooklyn’s artists, arts organizations, and audiences through its support of performances, exhibitions, pop-up galleries, workshops, reading series, festivals, public art and more.

Brooklyn Arts Fund is made possible by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA).

LOCAL ARTS SUPPORT
Grant Range: $2,000 - $5,000
- Brooklyn-based nonprofit organizations, Brooklyn-based individual artists, and NYC-based individual artists working in partnership with Brooklyn-based nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for up to $5,000 for community-based arts projects.

Local Arts Support is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts Statewide Community Regrants (SCR).


CHARLENE VICTOR AND ELLA J. WEISS CULTURAL ENTREPRENEUR FUND
Grant Amount: $2,500
- The Charlene Victor and Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund is designed to support the professional development of the next generation of women artists and arts administrators. Two (2) Brooklyn-based women artists or arts administrators will be awarded $2,500 each toward costs for individualized professional development.
