How to Join the Benefit & Play the Games
1) Zoom Instructions
1. Log in to Zoom meeting room using this LINK or meeting details below:

2. Rename yourself as your first and last name including your preferred pronouns. (You have the option to keep your camera on or off, but we’d love to see your face!)
3. If you would like closed captioning provided by REV.com, click on the Closed Captions button on your Zoom menu to enable.
4. Introduce yourself in the chat and tell us where you’re joining us from! We’ll be using the chat function for all the games.
2) Paper Cut Pictionary™
1. Master Paper Cut Artist Ming Liang Lu will cut portraits of famous Asian Americans out of paper.
2. Players try to guess the name of the person by typing their guess into the Zoom chat box.
3. The first person to correctly identify the subject of the portrait wins the round.

1. A4 Van Lier Fellow Lesley Mok will introduce us to the music of different AAPI artists and then conduct a “lightning round blindfold test.”
2. During the “lightning round blindfold test,” Lesley will play brief musical clips by the artists she’s introduced us to.
3. Players must guess name of the artist by typing the name of the artist into the Zoom chat box.
4. The first person to answer correctly wins one point.
5. Whoever has the most points wins! In the case of a tie, A4 will draw the names of winners at random.

1. A4VR artist Bhurin Sead presents a series of video clips in which he acts out a thing or a phrase, providing the number of words and syllables.
2. Players try to guess the thing or phrase by typing the words into the Zoom chat box.
3. The first person to answer correctly wins one point.
4. Whoever has the most points wins! In the case of a tie, A4 will draw the names of winners at random.

1. The host will call out a letter & number combination (the number, created by Jeremy Nguyen, will also appear at the end of each dance movement video, created by Annie Heath and Niki Farahani)
2. Players then look for the letter & number on their cards. If the number appears on a player’s card, a marker is placed on that square. Everyone gets the A4 square in the center of the card as a freebie!
3. When a player gets 5 markers in a row, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, the player types BINGO in the Zoom chat box.
4. The host will ask the winning player to read back the letter & number combinations and if they match, they win the round.

Emcee
Donald is a New Yorker turned Southern Boy turned New Yorker. He’s been featured on HBO, ABC, and TV Land, as well as the feature film Happy Cleaners. He hosts the monthly variety show Asian AF NY, performs characters with Mallrat, and improvises with his all Asian team, The Joy Fck Club.
Annie Heath
Bingo Dance Artist
Annie Heath, A4’s 2021 Jadin Wong Fellow, is a choreographer and dancer based in Brooklyn, NY. She received a BA in Dance and BS in Environmental Science at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her work has been presented at New York Live Arts, ISSUE Project Room, New Dance Alliance, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Movement Research at the Judson Church, Chen Dance Center, Access Theater, Center for Performance Research, Dixon Place, TADA! Youth Theater, Triskelion Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, West End Theater, and Alchemical Laboratory. Heath was a resident artist at La Escuela Profesional de Danza de Mazatlán (Mazatlán, Mexico) and is currently a 2019-2021 Fresh Tracks resident artist at New York Live Arts.
Niki Farahani
Bingo Dance Artist
Niki Farahani is an Iranian-American woman originally from Connecticut, currently based in NYC. She received a BFA in Dance from UMass Amherst in 2015. She has performed the works of Camille A. Brown, Sidra Bell, Janice Brown, Gallim, and Leslie Frye-Maietta during her time in Western Mass and has performed in festivals including The White Wave Festival and INSITU - LIC. She presently has ongoing collaborative relationships with Heath in Progress, Gabriella Carmichael, and Vessels. Her current research lies in the desire to dissect the pigments of loss we as a human species experience and the misconceptions of formality/civility.
Lesley Mok
Music Trivia Host
Lesley Mok is A4’s 2021 Van Lier Fellow. She is a drummer, composer, and improviser based in Brooklyn, NY. Interested in the ways social conditions shape our beings, Lesley’s work focuses on transposing, augmenting, and overacting humanness to explore ideas about normalcy, alienness, and privilege. Her writing subverts traditional instrumental roles, often utilizing extreme ranges and unconventional timbres, while creating a context that allows for simultaneously different musical perspectives. By maintaining an agile and improvisatory approach, Lesley creates fantastical and evocative sound worlds through the use of dissonance.
Ming Liang Lu
Paper Cut Pictionary™ Artist
Ming Liang Lu is one of the most popular subway artists in NYC. In just a few minutes, Lu creates caricatured face portraits with surprising detail. He focuses on his delicate work of maneuvering a fold of black origami paper along scissor blades. The art of paper cutting dates back to the Han Dynasty in China where it is usually associated with traditional designs of animals or things. Lu adapted this ancient technique to create contemporary facial portraits and has been profiled in The New York Times.
Bhurin Sead
Impossible Words Charades Artist
Bhurin Sead is a performer, theater maker, and musician. Exploring interactivity through performance, participation, and technology, Bhurin is interested in performer/audience relationships and the possibilities of connections that their interactions reveal. Bhurin has performed and collaborated as a Blue Man with Blue Man Group since 2008.
Jeremy Nguyen

Jeremy Nguyen has been contributing cartoons to The New Yorker since 2017. His clients include Netflix, HBO, Wired, The Nib, and Time Magazine. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
