Community Event

T(HERE) by Beitna Collective

Saturday, April 26, 2025
6 – 9:30PM

T(here) is about the rush of daily displacement, existing in a place far from that first home that we all go back to in our imaginations, the culture that fermented us, the land that held and fed us. It’s staging of the intricate crossings that we do momently, inside of phone calls, checkpoints, broken memories and Selves; it’s about the histories that remain in our bodies and on our tongues when those places and loved ones are threatened to disappear.

We welcome you to Beitna (Arabic for ‘Our Home’) as we honor our ancestors, their stories and ours, in an evening of participatory live performance.

Doors open at 6:00 PM with live music by David Chorowski. The performance will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. Snacks, shay and cozy hang out will follow.

Location: 300 Nevins Street, Brooklyn
Closest subway: R train (about a 10-minute walk) or an 18-minute walk from the 4, N, Q, A and C lines.

We will not turn anyone away for lack of funds. Please email beitnacollective@proton.me to reserve a spot.

This project is a part of the What Can We Do? Artist Grant program, presented by Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) and is supported by the Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice.
