Volunteer with the Voice Note Project

Come help Voice Note Project make people feel good in Washington Square Park. They offer strangers a penny for their thoughts, invite them to audio-record anything at all, then send them voice notes from other strangers we think they should hear. It’s a way to absorb one of the most diverse hubs of energy on the planet, to hear all kinds of stories, and to make folks feel less alone.

All the voice notes get uploaded to their archive at voicenoteproject.org/search.

Being an Experience Collector is nerveracking at first and tiring at the end but also one of the most fun and fulfilling volunteer roles in the city. You’ll be joining a diverse group of about a dozen existing volunteers.
