SURRENDERED — European Premiere at Overthink Film Fest

SURRENDERED, the first short film by Filipina-Canadian filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist Marie-Josée Desharnais, will have its European premiere at Overthink Film Fest in Bacău, Romania.

The 2-minute-31-second experimental documentary explores psychological pressure, dissociation, memory, and survival through fragmented imagery, repetition, archival material, restrained narration, digital compositing, and sound. Rather than following a conventional narrative, the film creates a sensory space in which the body and the archive become interconnected sites of memory.
