Restorative Justice in Action: Framing Our Mindsets Towards Healing
4PM
Coalition for Asian American Children + Families (CACF) presents an event asking questions pertaining to our present moment: What is Restorative Justice? What is not Restorative Justice? How can RJ provide tools and resources for our audience and our communities, especially in our current climate of heightened hate and violence?
CACF seeks to acknowledge current harms and violence in Israel and Palestine, the important historical context of the region, and the repercussions locally in NY that include the lack of safety experienced across our Middle Eastern, South Asian, Muslim, Sikh, and Jewish communities and more here in NY. CACF is hosting guest speakers in the field of restorative justice to understand alternative methods that promote individual and community-wide healing.
