Downtown Jewish Life and the 14th Street Y present PAUSE/PLAY, an innovative Saturday afternoon of Shabbat programming at the 14th Street Y, 344 E. 14th Street, NYC.

PAUSE/PLAY invites attendees to hit the pause buttons in their busy lives and experience all that the Downtown Community has to offer. All are welcome to join for a day of relaxation and renewal. From family yoga and story time to whiskey tastings and open swim, PAUSE/PLAY events feature activities for the whole family.

Spring Carnival

March 17, 2018 2-6PM

The PAUSE/PLAY season wraps up with a fantastic Spring Carnival! There will be balloons, face-painting, tasty treats, and all your favorite activities, including Israeli dance, family swim and yoga. In[HEIR]itance Project joins again for grown-up drinks and discussion. All afternoon, attendees will craft and create to celebrate the coming of spring!

This PAUSE/PLAY also brings back PJ Play! with WonderSpark Puppets based on the PJ Library book “Chicken Soup Chicken Soup.” The story features a precocious granddaughter (with Jewish and Chinese grandmothers) who shows us that we are all more alike than we think. To bring these characters to life, the 14th Street Y is proud to host the triumphant return of talented puppeteer Lindsey “Z” Briggs, after a three-year hiatus.
