Otaku Oratorio 2 - Otaku Choir's 2026 Fall Concert

Otaku Oratorio 2: I set out to save the world, but it turns out the world’s greatest threat is a kid who calls me mom. What happens when an anime concert decides it wants to tell an entire story?

On Friday, October 9, the Otaku Choir returns with Otaku Oratorio 2, an original live concert experience combining choral music from anime and video games with voice acting, hand-drawn artwork, manga-inspired visuals and a full-length story unfolding on screen.

At the center of the story is Usagi Kitadani, a young soldier growing up in the shadow of a father remembered as one of humanity’s greatest heroes. As she and her friends prepare to enter a world shaped by military power, old conflicts and a history everyone seems to understand differently, Usagi begins to discover that the story she inherited may not be the whole story.

And then a mission to the dark side of the Moon changes everything.

Performed by the NYC-based Otaku Choir alongside a cast of voice actors, Otaku Oratorio 2 brings together the music and visual language of anime, JRPGs, visual novels and tokusatsu in a concert built for the people who grew up loving them. Music from series and games including Digimon, Sailor Moon, Elfen Lied, Final Fantasy XIV, NieR and more becomes part of the storytelling rather than a traditional concert setlist.

It’s funny, dramatic, strange, heartfelt and a major step forward from the first Otaku Oratorio.
