Kozlova International Ballet Competition

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition announces the 14th edition, with entrants from 15 countries around the world, including China, Japan, and South Korea. They will dance for company contracts and scholarships to dance academies. President of the Jury is prima ballerina Nina Ananiashvili, and judges include Chan Hon Goh, director of the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver; Sun Hee Kim, Dean of the School of Dance at the Korea National U. of Arts; Mi Sook Jeon of Japan, Int'l choreographer and teacher, as well as directors of the Boston Ballet, Graham 2, Ballet Hispanico and more. Rounds will be held at NYLA: Classical Ballet Round on April 8; Classical Ballet Finals on April 9; Contemporary Dance on April 10, all starting at 1 PM and continuing until approx. 6 PM. Audience members may arrive and leave at any time during the day, and may step out and return by showing their tickets.
