Authors Discuss Addictions/Compulsions at the Next Pen Parentis Salon

Tuesday, April 8, 2025
7 – 8:15PM

So many of your ideas about addictions and obsessive compulsions come from media—but are they reality? Authors Xavier Trevino, Evan Dalton Smith, and Nicole Haroutunian share the side of compulsive behavior you don’t get to see on the screen, but which you may relate to in a very real way. Join in at Pen Parentis and chime in with your thoughts!

The Pen Parentis Literary Salon is a unique series that shatters parental stereotypes as it celebrates the diverse creative work of writers that are also parents.

Funding for this program is provided by generous grants from NYSCA, (the New York State Council on the Arts), The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), LMCC (Lower Manhattan Cultural Council), The Poetry Foundation, and The de Groot Foundation.

On the second Tuesday of each month September through May, join online! Chat with authors, be heard! Participate in discussions with featured writers in real time, no matter where you are located. Meet famous authors who are also parents & ask them how they did it — in real time!
