HMONG FUTURES: A NEW PLAY IN MN

Theater Mu’s world premiere of HMONG FUTURES: THE FUTURE OF US is an intergenerational story asking what it takes for a family to move from surviving to thriving. Anchoring the play are three HMong American women, and through their everyday lives, playwright Katie Ka Vang examines how one family can heal. To create this world premiere, Katie Ka held community engagement events and discussions in 2025, during the 50th anniversary of Southeast Asian people in Minnesota!

HMONG FUTURES runs Apr 11-May 3 (previews 9 & 10), written by Katie Ka Vang, directed by Reena Dutt, and ft. Melody Her, Nancy Ma, Sharon Omi, Greg Watanabe, & Mason Yang.
