Free Film Screening of Every Day Is a Holiday Documentary at the Flushing Library

Celebrate Immigrant Heritage Week! Join filmmaker Theresa Loong for a discussion and screening of her film “Every Day Is a Holiday” (in English with Chinese subtitles), the painful but life-affirming story of her father’s unlikely journey from Chinese-Malay teenager and Japanese POW to merchant seaman, Veterans Affairs doctor and naturalized citizen of the country that liberated him: the United States. Screening will start at 6:30pm.
