Dance/NYC 2020 Symposium

Dance/NYC 2020 Symposium will consider 21st century models
for building a resilient and thriving dance ecosystem. It will invite
participants to investigate topics of labor organizing; transformative
justice; dance education in a changing political climate; and the
business of dance-making, among others.

As the only gathering of its kind for the dance community in the
metropolitcal New York City area, the Symposium aims to share
information, innovation, and to stimulate awareness, interest, and
ongoing engagement in dance and dance education. The 2020
Symposium will be hosted campus-style and make use of Hunter
College’s expanding dance facilities and performance spaces for
panel discussions, case studies, interactive workshops, a networking
lunch, and more.
