Comic makers and artists can get a crash course in the basics of copyright law, contracts and how to protect their artistic creations when they want to get published, exhibited or for performances.
Guest speakers Thomas A. Crowell, an intellectual property attorney, and Joseph Illidge, a comics writer/editor, will also share negotiation strategies for getting paid for your creative works.
This event is in-person only at the Riverside Library, 127 Amsterdam Avenue, on Wednesday, May 6, 4–5 pm. It is open to high school and college students, ages 14-21 years-old. Advanced registration preferred.
