PLAY. MOTION. LAB. x CONTACT IMPROV JAM
3 – 6PM
CONTACT IMPROV JAM combines forces with Ching-I Chang, Marie Lloyd Paspe, and PLAY. MOTION. LAB. in a three-hour guided movement improv jam.
You are invited to create a space where intelligence can move beyond words, a place to re-member and reconnect with the childlike play, curiosity, and wild authenticity within us.
You will spend the first hour offering contact exercises with both dancing body and voice, to warm up your listening, surrendering, and igniting of senses with each other.
The last two hours will be an open movement jam with live music, including clarinet improvisation by Founding Director Peter Cheng. (Additional musicians to be announced).
Please bring knee pads.
All levels welcome.
