Bel Panorama pairs two new, exciting queer films in black & white - Bel Ami (漂亮朋友, Dir. Geng Jun耿军) and Queerpanorama (眾生相, Dir. Jun Li 李駿碩) - and presents a wide-angle queer gaze stretching from Northeast China to the streets of Hong Kong.

Vibrantly in conversations with each other, the films offer intimate, regionally grounded perspectives on queerness.
Bel Ami is a warm, humorous, and poetic tale of small-town queer people finding each other amongst everyday life in Hegang, unfolding with deadpan humor and quiet joyfulness.
While Queerpanorama is daring and even a bit provocative, it captures candid portraits of queer loneliness in small chats, amongst bold sex scenes.
