The Astana Opera Company, Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir, and principal singers and soloists, will make its NY debut with a Carnegie Hall concert October 27th At 8 PM. The program has been specially selected to include Kazakh folk songs; arias by famous Kazakh composers; excerpts from the operas of Verdi, Rossini, Offenbach, Bernstein and Borodin; and a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto featuring brilliant young violinist Erzhan Kulibaev, performing on a Stradivarius violin, courtesy of the Maggini Foundation. Conductor is Abzal Mukhitdinov.
