The Asian Creative Festival is a 2-day experience during AAPI Heritage Month, May 20 - May 21, 2023, hosted by the Asian Creative Foundation. We are combining forces this year to be more colorful, inclusive and reflective of our community.
For the first time, we are gathering NYC’s largest AAPI creative organizations, including ACE Pop-Up, Mixed Asian Media, East Side Story and Asian Creative Network to curate the most exciting program for AAPI creatives.
We are excited to connect with our community through curated programming for creatives to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month.
Mission
The Asian Creative Festival aims to build a place to celebrate AAPI culture and creatives. Together with an expansive AAPI creative community, we want to cultivate a place to share stories, inspire one another and create one of a kind experiences.
We want to celebrate creative achievements from our community! Hear from our all-star Keynote Speakers & Hosts, and shop our AAPI artists and small businesses marketplace curated by ACE Pop Up. Our program will lead up to an AAPI-directed film screening by Mixed Asian Media and East Side Story. Finally, we will be closing with an exclusive after party hosted by Asian Creative Network.
Program Theme
The theme of the inaugural Asian Creative Festival is “Be Colorful.”
- Be Colorful & share your creative stories
- Be Colorful & challenge the model minority myth to present the actual struggles and triumphs of living in America as an Asian person.
- Be Colorful & embrace our innate creativity that many of our Asian parents deemed useless or impractical.
- Be Colorful to showcase the nuanced diversities within our histories and cultures.
Location
Brooklyn Industry City
We want to invite your brand to our celebration! Enjoy the diverse creative art works presented throughout Brooklyn Industry City. Your brand will be recognized alongside stunning lighting sculptures from Lumino City and custom mural projections by artists from the ACF network.
The Asian Creative Festival will be hosted in a beautiful ~10,000 sq. ft indoor space, with artwork displays in the adjacent courtyard. The festival will be on the official events calendar for Industry City.
