Asian American Film Thing: Shorts, Comedy & Performances

Sunday, May 31, 2026
6:30 – 9PM

The long-running Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) short film festival Asian American Film Thing returns to littlefield to close out AANHPI Heritage Month.

Hosted by Angel Yau and Josh Burstein, the evening will screen an array of narrative fiction, documentaries, animations, music videos, comedy sketches, experimental films, and more. The mission of the event is to provide a safe and welcoming space for AANHPI filmmakers to share their stories and receive meaningful feedback on both new work and works-in-progress.

The evening will also include brief introductions by the filmmakers themselves and live performances by Boba Gays, Ginju, and Aarushi Agni.

Past editions have featured artists including Joel Kim Booster, Aparna Nancherla, Atsuko Okatsuka, and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Sean Wang.
