Angry Asian Womxn’s Holiday Femme-fest

Angry Asian Womxn (AAW’s) is hosting their first Holiday Femme-Fest by and for the beloved Asian Pacific Islander (API)/Arab/Muslim women, femmes and gender expansive community! They are inviting everyone to join together to support each other in crafts, knowledge, foods, and so much more in a multi-floor event that is a supportive and safe space for all!

Your ticket will include: self-defense tools, free gifts, access to multiple workshops, access to an amazing holiday market, craft making, ear seeds (a form of acupressure), community building, free drinks + snacks and so much more! The event will be affordable, as vendors each will have at least one item that is $5 or less. Vendor list TBA!

For workshops, they will have classes in self defense, safety, first aid, yoga, and children’s programming so parents can be free to shop! If you missed either of their self defense classes, they will have practice pepper sprays on hand all day for you to practice in ISS’s backyard! Additionally, for children’s programming, you MUST RSVP your child(ren)‘s attendance. They need to know how many kids and their age ranges to provide the best program for them as possible.

In addition to highly-suggesting masking throughout the whole event, the first hour will be entirely masked (10:00am - 11:00am). they are doing this so those who are deeply committed to masking feel safe to enter the event without amplifed risk of illness. All floors have HVAC and air filters.

PRE-sale: $5.00 entree fee.
Day-of: $10.00 entree fee.
All proceeds and donations from this event will help fund our current campaign of mailing self defense kits to those who have experienced Islamophobic hate crimes.

Angry Asian Womxn irrevocably stands with Palestine. They are committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for our Palestinian community members. They provide interdisciplinary programs and services for individuals of all ages and families to develop and restore their agency and collaboratively enhance the well-being of our community. In partnership with Asian American Federation (AAF)’s Hope Against Hate campaign, we aim to deliver valuable skills to many who feel unsafe in their own neighborhoods. From 9/11, to COVID-19, to the anti-China rhetoric that continues to this day, the pan-Asian American community knows all too well the violence inflicted upon communities in the U.S in response to international conflicts and tensions.
