Zine Designer (Volunteer)

As a zine designer at Naya Magazine, you will be on call to work on our independent zines. Currently, they are working on their first independent zine project, “not too sweet! a celebration of asian dessert culture,” which is based on Asian American dessert culture. In the future, they plan to work on fashion, film, and more zines. Design should be done through a digital art/drawing platform such as Illustrator and bring the zine together for print should be done through an editing software such as Photoshop.

They are a self-funded student-run organization, so this position will be unpaid, however they can provide volunteer hours or college credit if relevant. All work will be attributed.

Please reach out to if you’re interested with either a portfolio or previous work and a resume (not required). As this is an unpaid position, they many bring on multiple designer, allowing more flexibility in weekly hours.


Must have some experience using design and organization platforms such as Illustrator and Photoshop. Must be able to follow deadlines and work remotely. Must have some experience, professional or personal, with creative design and color palette design.
