Velvetpark Visual Artist Residency

Velvetpark’s Visual Art Summer / Fall 2021 residency welcomes visual artists in the LGBTQ+ community to APPLY for this studio space award. We are accepting all forms of visual art mediums; digital, traditional, conceptual and interdisciplinary.

The awardee will have 24/7 access to their private studio for a six month term beginning July 5, 2021 ending December 23, 2021.

Artists please note, the studio is of moderate size; 114 sq ft (14’ x 8’, with 12’ ceilings, large 6’ x 6’ window). The studio cannot accommodate large scale work, please bear that in mind when you apply.

The Vp residency is housed with in Crown Studios, an artist building on a floor of eleven working arts professionals in the Crown and Prospect Heights neighborhoods of Brooklyn, New York.
