The Six Foot Platform 2025

The Six Foot Platform, launched in 2021, is an experimental art & performance program presenting work by Brooklyn-based artists on a 6x6 platform at the intersection of Washington and Water Streets in Dumbo, Brooklyn.

Honorarium

$1,250 per program date. Payment will be made on the day of appearance, via check or otherwise as agreed upon in advance. Team Dumbo will also document each Platform and share this documentation with the artist for their use.

Presented by Team Dumbo in partnership with Brooklyn Arts Council.

Dates are Sept 6 - Sept 13 - Sept 20 - Sept 27 - Oct 4 - Oct 11.

For each date, the experience will be presented from 12pm-6pm. Load in begins at 11am. Load out must be completed by 7pm.

Requirements

The work, whether performative or sculptural, must be contained within the 6x6 footprint. You may make use of the cross beams for hanging work/materials, but they are not strong enough to support a person. Performers who are waiting ‘on deck’ can be off the platform, on the street/sidewalk. Note, the platform does not have walls.
