NEW CALL FOR 2D FIGURATIVE ARTWORKS

The Huts Magazine is a platform that seeks to insight and inform internationally about beautiful, thoughtful works of both emerging and professional artist. Today, they are excited to announce a call for art for their international online exhibit “OUR REFLECTION” curated by Gita Joshi.

“OUR REFLECTION” is an exhibition of works that draw from representational works of individual views by artists who want to show how they see the world from their perspective. Thus, highlighting significant differentials in their individual ideas.

Essentially, capturing the surreal depiction of the influence of society and its vices on their lives.

About the guest curator:

Gita Joshi is an art curator, coach for artists and writer of Show Your Art: How to Build and Art Career Without a Gallery. She studied art history and trained in curating at Central St Martins. In 2013, she opened a gallery called Orso Major which was an award winning gallery at Waterloo, London till 2016. She is currently the host of Curator Salon (a magazine and podcast), and has worked with arts charities, organized and curated exhibitions, helped artists prepare to work in galleries, portfolio reviews, been a juror for art competitions and a member of the Association of Women Art Dealers.

READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING!

  • This exhibition will span throughout the month of June to the end of July

  • If your work is selected, artists will be contacted for additional information and also be asked to sign a contract.

  • Please artists, prepare high resolution photographs of each work that will be featured on our website, including correct details, in order for buyers to have a complete visual representation of your piece.

  • Any works sold through our platform, will be charged a 20% commission and the artist will receive 80%.

  • The buyer of the artwork will cover shipping costs based on the weight of the artworks and the destination.

  • Artists will be responsible for packaging the sold work according to industry standards as well as taking it to a postal location.

  • Artwork will be sold as is with no refunds and artists will be paid promptly upon the buyer receiving the piece.

Please note there is a $20 non-refundable curatorial fee attached.
