Reporting to the General Manager and based in Brooklyn at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center, the Production Manager is a key member of TFANA’s production and building operations team, managing the physical production and logistics of TFANA’s productions/events and theatrical equipment for productions and rentals.

Job Highlights
- Work with General Manager and Associate Producer on receiving, analyzing, and bidding out, and managing the physical production designs/logistics for all TFANA productions, studio projects, rentals, and events.
- Work closely with a technical director on the creation of construction drawings for TFANA productions.
- Manage and oversee load-in, strike, load-out, and run crew hired by TFANA.
- Work with General Manager and Associate Producer on budget tracking and the planning of production expendtures.
- Work with Facilities Manager on building usage/scheduling, security, and site protection.
- Organize and take the lead on both internal and external production related meetings, calendars, deadlines, and all other physical production related logistics.

Requirements

Qualifications & Traits
- 3+ years of experience working in theatre as a production manager, production supervisor, technical director or other related field.
- Experience working with Auto-CAD and VectorWorks required.
- Knowledge of NYC theatrical production vendors a plus.
- Strong organizational, management, team building, collaboration, budgeting, and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of NYC fire and building codes a plus.
- Must be available for evening and weekend hours.
- Effective communicator with a sharp eye for detail and logistics.
- Computer and internet proficiency – specific proficiency in the Microsoft suite necessary.
- Proven organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
- Track record of negotiating personalities with patience and professionalism.
- A positive open mind to new ways of working and a sympathetic approach to people working under pressure in an artistic environment.
