The Summer Social Media Internship is an 8-week, paid opportunity to gain experience in social media production for a non-profit organization. The position requires the intern to spend 16 hours per week in the office. The intern will work with the social team to create content across Asia Society’s social media channels, especially on TikTok.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pitch weekly ideas for a new TikTok video series.
  • Shooting, editing, and packaging 1 video per week on TikTok.
  • Actively research what’s trending and have a pulse on TikTok.
  • Draft social captions and post video content across social media platforms.
  • Analyzing video performance.
  • Assist the social media team with other tasks as needed.
  • A final presentation rounding up your insights during the internship.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be engaged in an undergraduate degree program and not yet have graduated at the time of the internship
  • Experience with social media production preferred.
  • Proficiency in video editing either on Adobe Premiere or mobile editing apps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative ideas for social media content.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Creativity and an eagerness to hit the ground running.
