SEOULFUL PRODUCTIONS BOOK CLUB

Seoulful Productions Book Club will be a gathering space for reflection, dialogue, and community rooted in the love for Korean stories. Each season will feature a book by a Korean diasporic author, or a work that deeply engages with Korean culture and experiences.

This will be an intentional space for participants to slow down, connect, and carry Korean narratives across continents and generations, where Korean stories are not only read, but also honored, discussed, and remembered.

In May 2026, Seoulful Productions will be launching our inaugural book club centered on stories of the Korean diaspora. The first book will be Skinship by Yoon Choi — a tender short story collection that explores family, migration, distance, silence, obligation, and the quiet ways love is expressed.

Requirements

This online book club is designed for 10 Korean diaspora identifying community members.

There is no cost to apply or participate in Seoulful Productions Book Club.

Seoulful Productions will be purchasing and directly sending copies of the book to selected 10 participants.

Eligibility Criteria:
- You identify as Korean diaspora.
- You have access to a computer and the internet.
- You follow us on IG @seoulfulproductions and subscribe to our newsletter via www.seoulfulproductions.org.
- You are willing to provide feedback within 10 days of the last meeting.
- You are available to attend every meeting as outlined below.
- Age 18+

Meeting Schedule:
- Sunday 5/3 8pm EDT: Meeting #1
- Sunday 5/10 8pm EDT: Meeting #2
- Sunday 5/17 8pm EDT: Meeting #3
- Sunday 5/24 8pm EDT: Meeting #4

Each session will be approximately 75–90 minutes and held via Zoom.

Submission:

Application to Seoulful Productions Book Club will be open from Monday March 9 until Tuesday March 31, 2026 at 6pm EDT. Applications that are submitted after 6pm EST on March 31, 2026 will not be considered.

There is no cost to apply or participate in Seoulful Productions Book Club. Seoulful Productions will be purchasing and directly sending copies of the book to selected 10 participants.

Filling out the application does not guarantee you participation in Seoulful Productions Book Club, and you will be receiving an email from contact@seoulfulproductions.org if you are selected to participate by no later than April 6, 2026.
