Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality (AACRE) is requesting proposals from website designers to create a modern, user-friendly website that reflects AACRE’s mission and showcases AACRE’s work across the 11 groups in its network.
The AACRE website redesign goals are to uplift the programmatic work of AACRE groups, embracing the uniqueness of each group and highlighting the ways that they collaborate. They are seeking a designer to help guide them through the process of how to create a clean, responsive, dynamic site with a high priority of WCAG AA standards and ease of use. While the groups operate separately, the uniqueness of AACRE is that they have strong long standing relationships built on trust and the belief that the power of movement building comes from collaboration. They seek to have this ethos articulated through the design of the site, while ensuring their values come through too.
PROPOSAL SPECIFICATIONS
Proposals should include:
● Approach, work plan, pricing, timeline and deliverables
● At least three client references
● Statement of firm’s alignment with values
● Personal portfolio of three projects
BUDGET:
$15,000 - $20,000
Requirements
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS● Strong design experience creating evergreen landing pages and custom graphics to easily guide
visitors through the diverse types of work our Network engages in
● Wordpress web designer with the following experience:
○ Child theming
○ Intermediate to advanced html
○ Intermediate to advanced css
● Build a simple site that can easily scale as the needs of our network scales
● Wireframe or staging site builds
● Recommendations for secure and stable plugins
● Recommendations for how to structure pages, posts, resources while utilizing a mixture of categories and tags
● Easy for content editors to make updates
● Functionality requirements:
○ Newsletter sign ups
○ Donation page embed
○ Multimedia content
○ Timeline of AACRE history and AACRE collaborations
● You will work in partnership with core AACRE staff who will drive the implementation and design side of this project.
