The Wilma Theater is looking for a Project Manager to join the team of HILMA, a new opera by Kate Scelsa, Music by Robert Johanson, Directed by Morgan Green.

The Wilma Theater creates living, adventurous art, presenting bold, original, well-crafted, thought-provoking productions that represent a range of voices, viewpoints, and styles. Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating the creative management of the Wilma Theater’s production of HILMA and acting as primary point of contact for the creative and production teams.
This position will report directly to Morgan Green, director of the production and Co-Artistic Director of the Wilma Theater as well as Kellie Mecleary, Associate Artistic Director of the Wilma Theater.
The production is tentatively scheduled to premiere in Spring 2024, with multiple development workshops leading up to this time.

Ideal Experience
• Freelance producing and line-producing
• World premiere experience and musical experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Advise on budgeting and scheduling of the show.
• Support the Development Departments reporting responsibilities to the Pew foundation by tracking and reporting all receipts on an agreed-upon schedule.
• Actively communicate Associate Artistic Director and Co-Artistic Directors about the development of the project.
• Facilitate artistic relationships concerning participation in Marketing and Development events and activities, and assist with coordinating.
• Communicate with artistic leadership regarding production needs and issues arising during the rehearsal, preview, and performance periods.
• Attend production meetings, some rehearsals, technical rehearsals
• Liaison with cultural partners, such as the Barnes foundation.
• Manage acquisition of rights and reproductions of Hilma’s paintings.
• Provide producing support for all ancillary programing related to the show
• Work to uphold the mission and core values of the theater, with a raised consciousness towards equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts.

Compensation
This is an independent contractor position with compensation of $7,000 paid in three installments
Time commitment would vary depending on the stage in production. Total expected hours: 320.

Hybrid Work Environment
Due to Covid-19, much of the Wilma administrative staff is conducted in a hybrid environment of remote and in-person work, dependent upon role function and responsibilities. In consultation with your supervisor, it may be determined that some administrative aspects of your role may be performed remotely.

Some night and weekend work will be required.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
The Wilma Theater requires all employees, whose work requires their physical presence on-site at spaces managed and operated by The Wilma Theater to be fully vaccinated and up to date with the Pfizer or Moderna (bivalent) booster for COVID-19. Being “fully vaccinated” and “up to date” means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine and booster regimen.

In order to be qualified for employment at the Wilma Theater, final candidates must comply with the vaccination requirement or receive an approved exemption. Exceptions to this policy include:
1. Employees who do not report to a workplace where other individuals (such as coworkers or customers) are present
2. Employees who are working exclusively from home/remote environment
3. Employees who have a documented and approved medical or religious exemption.
