About CAA

The Center for All Abilities (CAA) is a nonprofit that empowers neurodivergent children, youth, and young adults through creative arts therapy, mentorship, and vocational training. We support neurodivergent artists and makers in building skills, expressing themselves, and showcasing their work at community events and markets.

About Project A

Project A is CAA’s vocational design program where participants learn sewing, fiber arts, Cricut design, and mixed-material product making. CAA compensates participants for merchandise they design and sell, supporting pride, independence, and meaningful vocational experience.

Role Summary

CAA is seeking a creative, patient, and organized Facilitator to lead weekly Project A sessions and guide participants through hands-on product design and small-batch merchandise production. The role involves planning, instruction, material setup, supporting safe tool use, and creating an encouraging, inclusive studio environment. Opportunity for expanded hours is available by supporting CAA’s developing merchandise team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate weekly sessions (Fridays 1–3 PM)
  • Prepare weekly activities (1 hr prep)
  • Teach sewing, fiber arts, Cricut projects, and mixed-material product design
  • Support participants in creating merchandise for CAA events
  • Adapt instruction for neurodiverse learning needs
  • Participate in occasional CAA events and markets
  • Communicate with the Executive Director and program team

Requirements

  • Background in design, product design, visual arts, crafts, or fashion
  • Experience creating merchandise or handmade goods
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals
  • Facilitating or teaching experience
  • Organized, reliable, creative, and patient
  • Strong communication and initiative
