Open Call: Mirrors and Masks

Asian Art Contemporary is pleased to announce an open call for submissions to their upcoming virtual exhibition, Mirrors and Masks. They welcome contemporary Asian artists worldwide to submit works aligned with this theme.

This exhibition explores how you present ourselves versus how you see yourselves, playing with the concept of identity, performance, and the masks you wear —whether literal or metaphorical. They seek artworks that delve into the tension between public and private identities, and the personas you construct to navigate societal expectations.

Prizes:

• Virtual Exhibition: Selected artists will have their work showcased in a curated virtual exhibition.
• Artist Interviews: All selected artists will be provided with free artist interviews to share their creative processes and stories.
• Digital Certificates: First, second, and third place winners will receive official digital certificates recognizing their achievements.
• Social Media Promotion: All selected artists will be promoted on our Instagram account.

Requirements

Who Can Apply:

• Open to Asian artists working worldwide.
• Artists at any stage of their careers are encouraged to apply.
• Submissions in both traditional and digital mediums (painting, sculpture, photography, video, mixed media, etc.) are welcome.
• Artwork must be original. Artists are responsible for copyright compliance.
