📣 CALL FOR ARTISTS: MOONSquare 2024!

What can take shape in the space of a mooncake tin? Think!Chinatown’s annual open call group art show, MOONSquare is back this October. Inspired by the place of mooncake tins in our memories and in our present day observance of the Mid-Autumn Festival, get inspired by childhood memories of eating mooncakes with your family, explore the origins of the Festival with Hou Yi 後羿 and Chang'e 嫦娥, and let the endless possibilities of a mooncake tin guide your next artwork.

MOONSquare is Think!Chinatown’s annual open call group art show where we invite our community of artists to use mooncake tins as the starting point for new works of art dedicated to the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Think!Chinatown (T!C) is a place-based intergenerational non-profit in Manhattan’s Chinatown, working at the intersection of storytelling, arts, and neighborhood engagement. T!C is the team behind neighborhood cultural programs like Chinatown Arts Festival, Chinatown Night Market, Chinatown Block Parties, Chinatown Storytelling Festival, Chinatown!Studio and more.
