Queens College invites proposals for its prestigious Artist-in-Residence (A.I.R.) for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring Semesters. We are excited to host two exceptional artists during the 2024–25 academic year, supported by The Thomas Chen Family / Crystal Windows Endowment. The primary focus of this A.I.R. program is to champion Asian visual artists and promote Asian visual art within the contemporary art landscape.
Requirements
Visual artists worldwide are eligible to apply. Fluent English proficiency is required. We welcome applications from artists, designers, or art scholars with intellectual and practical expertise in Asian Art. Strong candidates will demonstrate active participation records in the contemporary art sector through exhibitions, presentations, and other achievements, proving his/her/their ability to contribute significantly to the promotion of Asian art in higher education and the advancement of Asian art in the contemporary art field. Students registered in a degree program are not eligible unless they graduate before the Fall of 2024.
