NARS Studio Relief Program

We’re happy to announce the Open Call for the third iteration of our NARS Studio Relief Program. This open call accepts applications from NY-based artists in financial distress that are in need of studio space.

NARS’ mission is geared towards creating community while fostering expansion and exchange of artistic and cultural practices. We have witnessed the impact that the current health crisis has had on artists and in the development of their work. With this in mind we have decided to dedicate part of the NARS Studios to 4 individual NY based artists who are in need of a space but unable to afford it. Note that this is a separate program from the International Residency.

The subsidized Studio Space will only be available from July 12th to October 18th, 2021. Throughout this time, artists will have 24/7 access to their spaces and will be able to liaise with a diverse artistic community. The studio is a work-space only. Artists who need additional funding and support for materials, and accommodations should apply to other sources. Selected artists will be responsible for a $300 security deposit that is refundable at the end of their stay.

All applications must be completed and submitted by Monday, June 28th, 2021 11:59 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted. Open but incomplete application forms will not be processed.
